IX. Divorce

Matthew 5:31 - It has been said, Whoever shall divorce his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce:

Matthew 5:32 - But I say to you, That whoever shall divorce his wife, except for the cause of unchastity, causes her to commit adultery: and whoever shall marry a woman who has been divorced commits adultery.

Matthew 19:9 - And I say to you, Whoever shall divorce his wife, except for unchastity, and shall marry another, commits adultery.

Mark 10:11 - And he said to them, Whoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, commits adultery against her.

Mark 10:12 - And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she commits adultery.

Luke 16:18 - Whoever divorces his wife, and marries another, commits adultery: and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

Mark 10:3 - And he answered and said to them, What did Moses command you?

Matthew 19:8 - He said to them, Because of the hardness of your hearts Moses allowed you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

Mark 10:5 - Jesus answered and said to them, Because of the hardness of your hearts he wrote you this commandment.
