The Great Discourse
The Seventy
Luke 10:3 - Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.
Luke 10:4 - Carry neither purse, nor bag, nor sandals: and greet no man along the way.
Luke 10:5 - And into whatever house you enter, first say, Peace be to this house.
Luke 10:6 - And if a son of peace is there, your peace shall rest upon him: if not, it shall turn to you.
Luke 10:7 - Remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.
Luke 10:8 - And into whatever town you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:
Luke 10:9 - And heal the sick who are in it, and say to them, The kingdom of God has come near to you.
Luke 10:10 - But into whatever town you enter, and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,
Luke 10:11 - Even the very dust of your town, which clings to us, we wipe off against you: nevertheless, be sure of this, that the kingdom of God has come near to you.
Luke 10:12 - I say to you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that town.
Luke 10:16 - He who hears you hears me; and he who despises you despises me; and he who despises me despises him who sent me.
Luke 10:19 - Behold, I give to you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luke 10:20 - Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.
