Fitzwilliam Museum: A museum at Cambridge University, England, founded by Richard, seventh and last Viscount Fitzwilliam, who bequeathed to the university (1816) his collection of books, paintings, illuminated manuscripts, engravings, etc., with the dividends of 1100,000 South Sea annuities for the erection of a building, which was begun in 1837. The collection of ancient prints is very valuable.
