Andalusia: Region in southern Spain, comprising Almeria, Jaen, Granada, Cordova, Malaga, Seville, Cadiz, and Huelva. It was called by the Moors Belad-al-Andalus, the "land of the Andalus," Andalus being probably a corruption of the Latin Valdalos, "the Vandals."
