Ischl: A famous watering-place in Upper Austria, situated at the junction of the rivers Ischl and Traun, twenty-seven miles east by south of Salzburg. It is the favorite resort of the Austrian royal family and nobility, and contains salt and other baths. It is the central point in the Salzkammergut.
