Rhamnus. A daughter of Nox, and otherwise known as Nemesis. Having belonged with the original deities, those mysterious beings who were regarded with awe by gods and men, she is allowed the same rank among the modern heathen deities, and was particularly worshiped at Rhamnus in Attica, where she had a celebrated statue.
