Hematite. An important ore of iron, the sesquioxide, so called because of its red color when in the form of powder. It occurs in splendent rhombohedral crystals, and in massive and earthy forms, the last being called red ochre.

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self–discipline.”
2 Timothy 1:7
