Trench
Trench, RICHARD CHENEVIX (1807-86), was born at Dublin and educated at Harrow and Cambridge. He took orders, and, after being curate to Samuel Wilberforce, became, in 1847, professor of theology at King's College, London. In 1856 he was made Dean of Westminster, and in 1864 Archbishop of Dublin. Besides some poems, he was author of Notes on the Miracles, Notes on the Parables, English -Past and Present, The Study of Words, and other less popular works.
