Titiens

Titiens, or TIETJENS, TERRESA (b. 1834), celebrated vocalist, was born in Hamburg of Hungarian parents, and, going on the stage at the age of sixteen, was speedily recognised as one of the greatest singers of her time. She first appeared in London in 1858 and created such a furore that she made England her home. She died in 1877.
