Sweet William
Sweet William (Dianthus barbatus) a pink belonging to the south of Central Europe from the Pyrenees to the Balkans and Carpathians, is an old-fashioned garden favourite. It has broad, glabrous leaves and corymbose fascicles of flowers, less individually than an inch across. The petals are toothed, and are of various shades of red with dots and rings of white or other shades of red.
