Story

Story, JOSEPH (1799-1845), American jurist born in Massacllusetts, was appointed Associate-Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States in 1811, and held the post till his death. In 1829 he became law professor at Harvad. He wrote a Commentary on the Constitution of the United States (1833) and other important legal treatises.
