Steyn

Steyn, MARTINUS T., President of the Orange Free State, was born in 1857. He was elected to the Presidency in 1896. He invited Sir Alfred Milner and President Kruger to the Bloemfontein Conference in 1899, and from that time was closely connected with the negotiations which terminated in the war with the two republics.
