Spiriferidre
Spiriferidre, a family of Brachiopoda, or Lamp Shells, common in the Palaeozoic rocks, and characterised by the fact that the calcareous rods (or brachia) which support the arms are arranged as a spiral coil. The family ranges from the Silurian to the Lias.
