Speculum Metal

Speculum Metal is an alloy consisting usually of about 32 parts of copper to 15 of tin, sometimes containing small quantities of lead, antimony, or arsenic. It is specially used for making the mirrors of reflecting telescopes, since it is capable of taking a high polish.
