Ruthenium

Ruthenium (Ru 103.6), a rare metallic element which occurs to a small extent associated with platinum and its allied metals. It is a steel-grey, brittle metal, specific gravity 11.3, which is very infusible and is insoluble in acids. In its chemical characters it closely resembles the other metals of its class, eg. osmium, platinum.
