Priscian

Priscian (Priscianus Caesariensis), the Latin grammarian, lived in the 6th century. His chief work was his Grammatical Commentaries, a learned treatise in eighteen books, which remained a standard work throughout the Middle Ages. He also wrote two poems in hexameters.
