Philae

Philae, a small island in the Nile, on the confines of Egypt and Nubia, contains many memorials of ancient Egypt, among which are the ruins of eight temples of different dates and religions, an avenue of columns, obelisks, a Roman triumphal arch, etc. The worship of Isis prevailed here far into the Christian era.
