Pater
Pater, Walter Hoeatio, born in London in 1839, educated at Canterbury and Oxford, where he was elected fellow of Brasenose in 1865. He afterwards travelled in France, Italy, and
Germany. He published Studies in the History of the Renaissance (IH7?>), Marius the Epicurean (1885), Imaginary Portraits (1887), and Appreciations} with an Essay on Style (1889). He died in 1894.
