Parnell Thomas
Parnell, Thomas (1679-1717), the poet, was born in Ireland and educated at Trinity College, Dublin. In 1705 he was appointed Archdeacon of dogher, but he was much in London, where he enjoyed the best literary society of the day. He died at Chester. He was author of The Hermit and some odes, and had a ready wit.
