Paranahyba
Paranahyba, the easternmost state of Brazil, has an area of upwards of 28,000 square miles. The capital, of the same name, situated 10 miles from the mouth of the Paranahyba, exports sugar and cotton-seed. Another river of the same name, an affluent of the Rio Grande, is in the southern states of Sao Paolo and Minas Geraes.
