Papilionidae

Papilionidae, a family of butterflies in which all three pairs of legs are perfect; it is divided into two sub-families, the Pierinw and Papilionidce. The best-known species are the wood-white (q.v.), the white cabbage butterflies (q.v.), and the swallow-tailed butterfly (q.v.).
