Panorama

Panorama, a painting of a complete scene, viewed from a central point or made continuous upon an unrolling canvas. The former variety is very popular, verisimilitude is given by introducing lay-figures, etc., in the foreground, the spectator standing on a central platform some little distance from the canvas.
