Nonius Marcellus
Nonius, Marcellus, a Latin grammarian, was the author of a treatise entitled De Compendiosa per Litteras ad Filium, which work is divided into eighteen chapters. The first twelve are devoted to different grammatical subjects, whilst the last six are in the style of Julius Pollux, each containing a series of technical terms. Nonius probably lived between the second and sixth centuries of the Christian era.
