Medical Jurisprudence. Forensic medicine is the "science which teaches the application of every branch of medical knowledge to the purposes of the law." It deals with the signs of death, with the post-mortem appearances in the case of sudden death, and with insanity, poisoning, birth, infanticide, etc., in their legal relationships.
