Mange

Mange, a disease affecting the skin of dogs and other animals, due to a parasite resembling the itch mite which attacks the human subject. [Itch.] Treatment consists in the enforcement of cleanliness of the skin, and in the use of ointments, with a view to destroying the parasite.
