Maigre

Maigre (Scicena aquila), a food-fish of the type-genus (with about 50 species, some from freshwater) of the acanthopterygian family Scisenidae. It is common in the Mediterranean, and sometimes strays to Britain. Specimens six feet in length are recorded, but the general size is much less.
