Magpie Moth
Magpie Moth (Urapteryx sambucaria, Linn.) is the largest of the British Geometers (q.v.), of which group of moths it is a very convenient type, as it is so very abundant in gardens. The larvae feed on fruit trees. The colour of the moth is white, and it has a variable series of yellow bands and black blotches.
