Lowe
Lowe, Sie Hudson (1769-1844), was born in Galway. In 1787 he entered the army, and for some years served in the Mediterranean. Then he joined the Prussian army under Bliicher. Later, in his capacity of Governor of St. Helena, he had the care of Napoleon, and was much criticised on account of his alleged severity towards his prisoner. In 1825 he was appointed to a command in Ceylon.
