Lorelei
Lorelei, or Luelei, a precipitous rock near St. Goar, on the Rhine, 427 feet in height. The legend, well-known from Heine's song, which makes it the abode of a siren who has lured many boatmen to their fate, is said to have been invented by Clemens Brentano.
