Leclaire

Leclaire, Edme Jean (1801-72), a French capitalist and experimentalist in the region of union of capital and labour. ; He began life as a farm-labourer, but came to Paris as a painter's apprentice, and by his energy won a good position. He seems to have had trie good of the working men at heart, and his system of profit-sharing (q.v.), which began in 1842, rias had important results.
