Kermanshah
Kermanshah, the capital of Persian Kurdistan, is on atributary of the river Kerkhah (Choaspes), 280 miles S.W. of Teheran, in the province of Irak-Ajemi. It is fortified with a brick wall and towers, and the bazaars are well supplied. Fruit and cotton are grown and exported to Bagdad, as the town is on the caravan route between Persia and Turkey. Carpets and swords are the principal manufactures.
