Kalinjar

Kalinjar, a town and hill-fort of great antiquity in the N.W. Provinces of India, standing on a rocky and isolated hill, 1,230 feet in height, 33 miles S. of Banda. Its records date back to a prehistoric period, and it is rich in architectural remains, including the ruins of the magnificent temple of Nal Kantha Mahadeo.
