Issy

Issy, a French village half a mile from Paris, connected with Paris by a tramway. There is a fort, a castle, and manufactories of chemicals. Here Blucher defeated Davout, July 3rd, 1815. The fort suffered severely during the Franco-German War, 1870-71, and has since been rebuilt.
