Huzuls

Huzuls, a rude Karpathian people in Galicia, said by Franzbs to be "a hybrid, uniting the Slavonic blood of the Ruthen [Little Russians] with the Mongolic blood of the Uzen, his speech betraying the former, while his name testifies to the latter" (quoted by Miss Muriel Dowie in A Girl in the Karpathians).
