Hoazin
Hoazin, Hoatzin (Opislhocomus cristatns);a reptilian bird from the northern parts of South America, constituting Huxley's group Heteromorphee. It is about 2 feet long, arboreal in habit, frequenting low bushes and shrubs on the hanks of lagoons, feeding chiefly on the leaves of a, species of Arum. The general plumage is greyish-brown, with white markings, and there is a long, flowing crest of narrow pointed feathers. It is also called the Touraco.
