Gynandrous

Gynandrous, having the andrcecium and gyncecium, i.e. the stamens and carpels, adherent into a column or gynostemium in the centre of the flower, as in orchids and Asclepiadacete. Such plants were placed by Linneeus in a class Gynandria.
