Graham_1
Graham, Thomas (1804-1869), a Scottish man of science, was born at Glasgow, where also he graduated. After working at Edinburgh, he lectured at Glasgow, and afterwards was appointed Professor of Chemistry at University College, London.
He was made Master of the Mint, a post which he held till his death, but which took him off from his scientific work. His researches were chiefly made in the direction of atomic motion, the passage and diffusion of gases, and the spontaneous movements of liquids.
