Gizeh

Gizeh (Ghizeh), a town in Egypt, capital of a province of the same name, stands on the W. bank of the Nile, nearly opposite Cairo. Artificial egg hatching has been carried on here from time immemorial. Five miles to the W. are the Pyramids.
