Garnier Pages
Garnier-Pages, Etienne Joseph (1801-1847), was born at Marseilles, where he practised at the bar. He took part in the Revolution of July, and in 1831 became a member of the legislative chamber. Louis Antoine (1803-1878), half-brother of the above, also joined in the July Revolution, and succeeded to his brother's position, and led the Extreme Left. In 1848 he became mayor of Paris, in 1864 a member of the Corps Legislatif, and in 1871 a member of the Provisional Government.
