Fillan
Fillan, St., the name of two saints. (1) Also called Faolan, the leper, had a church at Loch Erne, in Perthshire, and a healing well. There is also a seat known as St. Fillan's chair, and he had also a church in Queen's county, Ireland. (2) An 8th century abbot, son of St. Kentigern of Inchcaileoch, in Loch Lomond. He, too, had a church in Strathfillan, Perthshire, and a linn in the Dochart glen which worked cures. His quigrich, or crosier head, was entrusted by Robert Bruce to a family who still possess it.
