Elevation

Elevation, in Astrononvy, is the height of an object reckoned in terms of its angular distance from the horizon. In geometrical and architectural drawing, an elevation means a side view drawn without perspective - an aspect that is only physically correct when the object to be drawn is viewed from a great distance.
