Duren

Duren (the Roman Mareoduritm) a Prussian town on the right bank of the Poor, 16 miles N.E. of Aix-la-Chapelle, a stone bridge crossing the river. The industries arc steel and iron, woollen, paper, and leather manufactures, and there is a trade in corn and cattle. Some brandy is distilled here.
