Doggerbank

Doggerbank, o, sand-bank of the German Ocean, renowned as a favourable spot for cod fishing. It begins about 36 miles N.E. of Flamborough Head, and stretches E.N.E. to within 60 miles of Jutland, and is about 170 miles long, diminishing from a breadth of 65 miles to a point. In the shallowest part it has 9 fathoms of water.
