Dangs

Dangs, a district of the Bombay Presidency, with an area of 1,000 square miles. Timber abounds, but the rainfall is excessive, and the climate unhealthy. The country, which is surrounded by hills, is governed by native chiefs. The products, with the exception of timber, are unimportant. The Bhils rank first among the forest tribes, of which the population is composed.
