Dagobert
Dagobert, the name of some of the Merovingian dynasty of Frankish kings, of whom, perhaps, the most notable was Dagobert I. (602-638), the son of Hlother II. He won victories over the Bretons and Gascons, and founded the Abbey of St. Denis. His reign was the last flash of Merovingian brightness.
