Crochet

Crochet (French, a hook), a kind of open work in thread or other material, hand-made by means of a needle fixed generally in a bone or ivory handle, and fashioned at the end into a small hook for drawing the thread through the loops and interstices. Crocheting is not perhaps now so universal a feminine accomplishment as it was a few years ago.
