Crane Walter
Crane, Walter, an English painter, born at Liverpool 1845. his father also being an artist. The son began his art training early, and much of his work has been book-illustrating. His Lady of Shalott was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1862, and for some years he exhibited in the Grosvenor Gallery. He has produced good watercolour landscapes, and in 1888 became a member of the Royal Society of Water-Colour Painters.
