Coyapos
Coyapos, a large Brazilian nation, formerly widespread throughout Goyas and the conterminous provinces of Sao Paulo and Matto Grosso. They belong to the Tupi family, of which they are one of the chief branches. The Coyapos, now mostly civilised, are described by Dr. Kupfer in Zeitschrift fur Erdkunde, p. 244; Berlin, 1870.
