Cottin

Cottin, Sophie Ristaud, authoress, was born at Tonneins in 1773, and in 1790 married a Parisian banker. Left a widow in early life, she published several successful romances, including Elizabeth, ou les Exiles de Siberie, La Prise de Jericho, Claire d'Albe, and Malvina. She died in 1807.
