Colatitude
Co-latitude of any point on the earth's surface is the angle between the vertical at that point and the axis of the earth. It is therefore the complement of the latitude, i.e. the difference between 90° and the latitude of the place. Thus the colatitude of the north-pole is 0°, of London about 38-1/2°, and of any point on the equator 90°.
